Can I bring guests?

A guest is anyone using the Co-op outside of Open Hours.

There are two types of guests:

  • Non-climbing guest — cannot climb or use training equipment

  • Climbing guest — must pay for a day pass to climb or use training equipment

Only access pass holders can bring in guests.

Access Pass Holder (Sponsor)

  • You are responsible for your guests

  • Give your guests an orientation

  • Ensure your guests pay for day passes

  • Guests must be accompanied by you at all times

  • You may sponsor up to three guests at a time

How do I bring in guests?

Use the member portal for guest check-in and day pass purchase. Link/QR code can be found on the website and laminated sheet on magnetic board and/or Co-op door

  1. Login to member portal to check-in and purchase day pass

  2. Click on Profile

  3. Click Bring a guest

  4. Read thru instructions and click Add a guest

  5. If your guest is climbing or using any of the training equipment, select Will be climbing

  6. If your guest is spectating (not climbing or using any of the training equipment), select Will not be climbing

  7. You can sponsor up to 3 guests at a time. Repeat steps to sponsor additional guests.

Troubleshooting Tips

Your guest does not display on the monitor.

  1. Scan in. As the sponsor, your guest is attached to your account. When you scan out, your guest is also removed.

  2. Confirm orientation. The confirmation button will appear after your guest completes their steps. You’ll need to confirm the orientation every time.

Two-Strike Policy.

 

I’m an access pass holder. What happens if I bring in guests who don’t pay?

The access pass holder will receive an email notifying them of their first strike, along with a copy of the Two-Strike Policy.

There are two types of guests:

  • Climbing guest — must pay for a day pass to use the facility

What happens if I let someone else use my key fob?

  • Fobs cannot be shared

  • Everyone must pay to climb at the Co-op

  • The access pass holder will receive an email notifying them of their first strike, along with a copy of the Two-Strike Policy.

What happens if I get two strikes?

Your access pass will be temporarily suspended.

Your access pass will be temporarily suspended, and you'll receive an email notifying you of the second strike. You may request a discussion with the Board of Directors.

The Board will review the offenses and may impose one or more of the following penalties:

  • Access pass revoked with no refunds

  • Membership revoked with no refunds

  • Permanent banned from the Co-op

Minor Policy.

 

Individuals under 18 may not use the Co-op or purchase an Access Pass without prior approval from the MNCC Board of Directors.

  • Minor requests are reviewed monthly

  • The MNCC reserves the right to deny or revoke access for individuals under 18

  • Minors must have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian, which can be signed in advance

  • Minors must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian while using the Co-op, unless prior approval from the MNCC has been given

  • A parent or legal guardian may not supervise more than two minors at a time

  • Minors cannot sponsor guests

Refunds?

Access Passes, Day Passes, Memberships, and key fobs are not refundable.

Pets?

We love pets but not at the Co-op, they don’t meet the minimum height requirement.
