How long have you been a Co-op member?

9—10 years.

Why do you want to be part of the MN Climbing Co-op Board of Directors?

I have been climbing at the Co-op for many years and it has brought a lot to my life in many aspects. I think it’s time for me to step up to the plate.

Describe any relevant experience that could benefit the Co-op board in doing its work?

I have a professional background in project management, pricing/design-build construction projects and experience in the electrical trade. I have also assisted the Co-op with a couple electrical projects over the years.

How would you contribute to the Co-op and its members?

I believe I’d be a great fit helping with facilities and maintenance by striving to make the Co-op a more welcoming, warm and well-maintained place to climb and mingle with other climbers

Would you rather have fingers as long as your legs or legs as long as your fingers? Why?

This is an easy one as I have been pondering this every night for the last 10 years: 100% fingers as long as my legs. Sure, I’d look like a horrifying spaghetti-handed monster, but imagine the possibilities! I could grab things from 15 or 20 feet away, type at lightning speed on multiple keyboards at once, and finally reach the top of the spray wall and send all the problems in Stokt.

How long have you been a Co-op member?

4—5 years.

Why do you want to be part of the MN Climbing Co-op Board of Directors?

I love the community at MNCC, and want to continue to help cultivate our lovely community!

Describe any relevant experience that could benefit the Co-op board in doing its work?

For as long as I have been a member I have helped in a variety of roles from washing holds, open hours volunteer, forerunner and affinity group host. All of these different positions have helped me learn more about the Co-ops needs and meet new members!

How would you contribute to the Co-op and its members?

My main role recently has been coordinating affinity groups at MNCC. I work with community groups such as OutClimb and BIPOC Beta to bring together climbers. I would love to continue this work during my time on the board.

Would you rather have fingers as long as your legs or legs as long as your fingers? Why?

Is neither an option? Both sound very frightening. I guess if I have to choose, I would go with legs as long as fingers since it would most likely be easier to navigate the world.

How long have you been a Co-op member?

10+ years.

Why do you want to be part of the MN Climbing Co-op Board of Directors?

The contributions I've made to MNCC during my previous terms as a board member volunteer demonstrate my commitment to ensuring MNCC is a sustainable model. And, my time spent giving back to the MNCC community is not yet over.

Describe any relevant experience that could benefit the Co-op board in doing its work?

Since joining the board a few election cycles ago, I’ve pushed to ensure the MNCC space and community is a place for everyone by emphasizing member engagement and taking action based on member requests. I’ve planned too many events now to count (fun and party vibes, always). And, I love suite 160—the space, the Kilter Board, the variety of equipment, the puzzle table, the mood lighting, but most importantly, how it was dozens of people contributing skills, time, energy and resources to make a brainstorming session a reality in less than six months.

How would you contribute to the Co-op and its members?

I’ve planned new and recurring events for MNCC, and plan to continue to do so. Interest in MNCC is strong right now, and I think it is critical we emphasize that it takes input from many to make a place like MNCC successful for the future years to come—we do better together!

Would you rather have fingers as long as your legs or legs as long as your fingers? Why?

Absolutely fingers as long as my legs. I’d have the world in my fingertips for sure.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Thanks to all of the volunteers—past and present—for making MNCC such an amazing part of my life.
